Welcome to the opening of the Polish traveling exhibition Women's Concentration Camp Experience, which tells the story of women's experiences in German concentration camps during World War II.
Reproductions of around seventy drawings and watercolors made in the camps are shown here, together with stories from archive material. There are also large paintings and installations by contemporary Polish artists, who have inherited memories of the camp trauma.
The exhibition has been designed by Professor Barbara Czarnecka from the University of Bialystok in Poland, author of two scientific books about women's experiences in concentration camps.
