Interculture Time: Georgia

Georgia – a country in transition in the field of tension between East and West.

Welcome to an exciting event where we will delve into Georgia's rich cultural heritage, fascinating traditions and outstanding nature. Learn more about the country that lies between Europe and Asia, and which is increasingly characterized by the tension between East and West.

During the event, you will gain an insight into Georgia’s beautiful landscapes – from the Caucasus Mountains to the stunning Black Sea coastlines – and how these environments have shaped the traditions and lifestyle of its people. We will also discuss Georgia’s current situation, both politically and socially, and provide an insight into the country’s relations with the outside world. An important part of this discussion is Georgia’s connections to Ukraine. The two countries share a common experience of standing up for their sovereignty and territorial integrity in a time of conflict with Russia.

Organized in collaboration with the association Interkultur i Lund and its section Ukrainian Unity. The event will be held in English and Swedish. Free admission, no pre-registration. Interkultur i Lund will provide refreshments.
