Lectures, interviews, exhibitions, film screenings and much more in the City Hall and at KINO in Lund.
The democratic space is shrinking worldwide. It is therefore more important than ever to defend democratic values and our fundamental rights.
Much is moving forward. However, in recent years we have seen a worrying global trend of curtailed fundamental freedoms and rights, such as freedom of expression, freedom of movement, freedom of assembly and the right to a fair trial. Thus, democracy is in reality threatened.
The Human Rights Festival was started by Altitude Meetings and The Raoul Wallenberg Institute to spread knowledge about human rights and democracy through various cultural expressions; talks, lectures, music, poetry and more. The festival is an extension of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute's film festival.
On December 9, 2023, we will open the doors to the public.
Prepare for a fantastic day of knowledge, insights and inspiring people – all content at the City Hall is free of charge (first come, first served).
