Welcome to East High and Disney's High School Musical – a high school drama about the smart and cute Gabriella and the cool basketball guy Troy.
Troy and Gabriella meet during a break and are unexpectedly reunited at the school Gabriella has transferred to. Together, they want to audition for the school musical, but face resistance from both their well-meaning friends and the school's theater diva Sharpay and her brother Ryan. After a series of intrigues and a few misunderstandings, Gabriella and Troy find the courage to be themselves - and in the end, the entire school unites in true community.
