Henrik Nyblom tests jokes – an evening in the middle of the creative process
After traveling around the country with the prolific and beloved show Figaro Panini's Cacaphonic Dance of Death Henrik Nyblom's journey continues! With new energy, new ideas and with his piano as his only friend on stage, Henrik travels to 28 cities this fall to test new jokes.
Because what do you do when the tour is over, the stage clothes smell like "artist" and the old safe jokes are the only thing that feels comfortable? You start over from the beginning!
Henrik Nyblom tests new jokes is exactly what it sounds like: an evening where new ideas are allowed to stretch for the first time. This time it's not a finished show, it's a performance in sketch form, where standup is interspersed with spontaneous songs, quick ideas and newly hatched thoughts.
It's not so much a show as it is a game. It's a relaxed evening where the audience is both a sounding board and a thermometer. Jokes are to be tried out, honed over time and, at best, saved. Or they are left in a basket on the steps of the local fire station and then left to grow up with another family, where they train to be realtors and are named salesperson of the month on at least two occasions.
So hop in the back seat and follow Henrik as he heads straight into the unknown, piano at the ready and joke pad scribbled with ideas. It's going to be fun, messy, maybe even moving – and never exactly the same two nights in a row.
Welcome to creative chaos. And even if everything isn't finished yet, everything is real. Or is it?
As support, Henrik brings with him the rising star Dessi Hietala, awarded as newcomer of the year at the Swedish standup gala 2025.
