Climate change is not only slow due to a lack of political will – but also because we lack the ability to imagine. Johannes Stripple, a researcher and teacher at Lund University, is one of the initiators of Climaginaries, where researchers, artists and educators collaborate to make the future more conceivable and tangible. In the lecture, Johannes talks about various initiatives in recent years – such as audio walks, museums from the future and how Lund was named Europe's most walkable city in 2039 – and shows how such stories can arouse emotions, inspire action and open up new ways to participate in the change.
Organized in collaboration with the Lund Society for Nature Conservation and the Sustainability Forum at Lund University as part of the autumn environmental program. Free admission, no pre-registration required.
Due to ventilation work at the City Library during the autumn, programs may be canceled or moved at short notice.
