Holocaust Remembrance Day falls annually on January 27, and in 2025 it will be 80 years since the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp was liberated. During the 1930s, the Nazis began a systematic cleansing of the German Jews through legislation and harassment, which is why many Jewish musicians and composers fled Nazi Germany. One of them was the composer Kurt Weill, who arrived in the United States in 1935, after a two-year exile in France. At tonight's memorial concert, the Henrik Rosengren Trio with Viktoria Tolstoy and guitarist Krister Jonsson as soloists pay attention to this distinctive composer.
NOTE: the concert starts at 19.30
Length: approx. 60 minutes without a break
