Author visit: Göran Rosenberg

Göran Rosenberg is up to date with new editions of his two acclaimed books about two countries that are currently central to international politics: No one can be freer – in search of the American idea and The lost land - Israel a personal story.

“What happened to America?” is a question that many people ask themselves today. No one can be freer is a combination of reportage and history of ideas, story and reflection; a book that provides perspective on US actions in the world and at home. He puts racism, isolationism and anti-communism into an exciting historical perspective.

The lost country is at once an ideological historical odyssey and political autobiography, which is now being published with a newly written preface. The book was nominated for the August Prize in 1996 with the justification "Rosenberg maps today's political polarization, a split that has existed from the beginning. He makes an unwavering, complex, clear and gasp-hugging analysis.”

Göran Rosenberg is a journalist and author and one of our sharpest social critics and debaters. He has won, among other things, the Great Journalist Prize, the Publicists Club's Great Prize and the August Prize 2012 for the book A short stopover on the way from Auschwitz.
