Lecture: Art in a world that does not yet exist
Emil Nilsson, producer for public art at Lund's art gallery, talks about the role of art in public spaces. When art takes place in the public realm, the free and the bound, the applied and the unmeasurable meet. Public art sometimes arouses quick and violent reactions in its first contemporaneity, but it can just as easily be said to belong to a world that does not yet exist. Art is always part of its time, but also its future. Here, the audience encounters older and newer works of art from the local area.
The event is organized in collaboration with Lund Art Gallery's friends. Free entrance!
