Ann Pontén: Naked Skin in Art
Lecture at Lund Art Gallery on Thursday, October 30th at 18 pm
When a portrait of a person is depicted, for example, as a painting or a sculpture, the naked skin is also depicted. For a long time, the naked female body has been an obvious, but also controversial motif. But how do you depict the skin in sculpture and painting under different art styles? How and with what materials is the skin depicted? The lecture discusses this with the help of well-known examples from art history. The lecturer Ann Pontén has worked as a dermatologist and artist.
