Lund's United Nations Association welcomes you to this year's celebration of United Nations Day!
To mark UN Day 2023, Lund's UN Association invites you to a celebration of the day at Kulturen! During the day, among others, Andreas Ljungholm from the Swedish Institute for Human Rights will give a talk and the association's various committees will also carry out various activities.
At 12.15–13.15 Lecture with Andreas Ljungholm, investigator at the Institute for Human Rights in Lund. Among other things, Andreas will talk about the history of human rights and the creation of the Universal Declaration. He goes on to talk about what the international system looks like today, as well as about the newly established Institute for Human Rights and what they are working on.
At 13.00–14.00 the association's event committee holds a workshop on how to write a UN resolution, as well as a quiz.
At 14.00–15.00 the School and Youth Committee organizes a workshop on the theme of children's right to school.
At 15.00–16.00 The association's climate committee creates a mini-ecosystem and makes a flag for Fridays for Future.
