Under the turquoise dome.
A warm welcome to a conversation between art historian and writer Ellen Suneson and artist Shiva Niiko Anoushirvani at Krognoshuset in Lund on May 4th at 14:30 PM – 15:30 PM.
Our opening hours on Sunday are 13 pm – 17 pm.
“Under the turquoise dome” is a phrase that appears in fairy tales in Persian/Farsi. The tale often begins with the phrase Yeki Bood Yeki Nabood, an approximate translation into English is “Once upon a time, there was no time”. The phrase is then followed by “Under the turquoise dome”. One can interpret this as meaning that everything that happens in the story or history happens under the turquoise dome.
The conversation between Ellen Suneson and Shiva Niiko Anoushirvani will address the topic of multilingualism and storytelling cultures. How these shape our way of relating to the world around us as well as to creation. We will also talk about the work on the exhibition and how fairy tales and the nuances of language can shape our feelings and thoughts about life and death.
Please bring a cushion to sit on during the conversation.
