Sensus Study Association invites you to an opportunity to listen and talk with Chavia Ali about concrete examples from everyday life as a disabled person and work with human rights. We share experiences of how systems and structures affect participation and accessibility in Skåne.
About the meeting
It has been almost 80 years since the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted. Yet many people still face obstacles and injustices in their everyday lives. During this meeting, we explore how rules, routines and treatment can affect people's opportunities to participate in society on equal terms. How do we create a society that truly sees the equal value of all people when opportunities look so different? The aim is to create understanding, share experiences and gather ideas about what can be changed.
Setup
Chavia Ali begins with concrete examples, both from her everyday life as a wheelchair user and from her work with human rights. This is followed by an open discussion where anyone who wants to can contribute questions, perspectives and suggestions.

Existential Sustainability Week
This event is part of Sensus Existential Sustainability Week. Existential sustainability is about people's relationship to themselves, each other and the nature of which we are all a part. During the week, we explore what the transition to an existentially sustainable society might look like through digital and physical events around the country that are open to everyone.
