By taking famous paintings that have rolled on trains over the years, Ungdomens Färgpalett has recreated them on 3D-printed model trains in the present day. Self-produced scarves with train motifs are also part of the exhibition that the young artists are behind. The exhibition takes place at Stadshallen from 2 to 12 December with a vernissage on Friday 5 December.
When the youth color palette started at LT21, the participants wanted to have sketch nights and work on different assignments. It all ended with the participants painting graffiti on model trains which has now become an actual exhibition.
At LT21, we offer young people legal spaces, mentorship, and workshops where they can grow as artists and as people. With us, they learn to take responsibility, lead others, and present their art to an audience.
The exhibition is not about encouraging or romanticizing train painting, but about what happens to young people when we challenge them to think differently...i.e. paint trains without painting trains...
