Ellen Krauss + support: de clair

ELLEN KRAUSS
The big breakthrough was probably always meant for Ellen Krauss. It was as if written in the stars that her unfiltered and deeply sincere pop music would reach into the Swedish folk soul. And now it has happened. What started with the debut single and now LGBTQ anthem 'The One I Love' and interspersed with a much-loved appearance in 'Så Mycht Bättre' turned into an extensive summer tour where almost every date was sold out. With her heart on the outside and a rare ability to see the big in the small, the disarming Ellen Krauss has become a name on everyone's lips.

Now it's time for the next chapter for the recent Grammy-winning singer-songwriter. Earlier this year, the single 'Cherry On Top', a highly recognizable classic Ellen Krauss song about falling in love, was shared. Then we got to hear the song "Right?".

Now comes another long-awaited taste from the upcoming album "Romeo". The new single "Secrets", which will be released on Friday 23 August, is about wanting to get closer to a person, into the depths where there are no secrets. The album will be released in its entirety on October 4. And it is precisely with the upcoming album in the luggage that Ellen Krauss once again sets out on the road for a big autumn tour in Sweden.

"I leave a fantastic spring and summer behind me with gigs at Åre Sessions, Gröna Lund and Way Out West, but also getting to meet the audience in smaller towns around Sweden has been so nice. I'm so excited to go out again this fall and play lots of new songs from my upcoming album Romeo," says Ellen Krauss.

DE CLAIR
Behind the singer-songwriter de clair we find 26-year-old Clara Rudelius, born and raised in a small town in southern Sweden. At the age of ten, she picked up the guitar for the first time and slowly transitioned to the black, out-of-tune grand piano that stood in the stay room. She discovered catalogs of Nico, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Björk - who later became her main inspiration when she started writing and producing her own music. Music that is as subtle as it is empowering. A kind of minimalist approach to indie/alternative and folk, with transparent and at the same time provocative lyrics about the world's injustices, friendship, memories and love stories.

de clair debuted in November 2023 with the indie/folk ballad "sleep with me on my birthday" which was followed up in March by the debut EP "hiding mountains in the palm of my hand". The project was written and produced by Clara herself together with Grammy nominee Jens Resch and global phenomenon Jonny Coffer (producer behind artists such as Lykke Li, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar) in London, and has since been praised worldwide by music critics from BBC Radio, NPR, The Line of Best Fit, NME, COLORS and Lablogotheque.

After opening for artists such as Amanda Bergman, Augustine and waterbaby, the summer of 2024 also meant de clair's first own tour, with appearances at festivals such as Way Out West, Storsjöyran and The Great Escape in England. It added flavor, and now de clair follows up the summer by joining Ellen Krauss's big autumn tour - to round off an astonishing year as a debutant, to say the least.
