Eivør, the magical voice from the Faroe Islands, is coming to Mejeriet!!
With a voice as powerful as the dramatic cliffs of the Faroe Islands, Eivør has established herself as one of the Nordic region's most unique and versatile artists. Her music moves seamlessly between folk, electronic soundscapes, classical opera and metal, always rooted in her Faroese heritage.
Her characteristic guttural singing technique, inspired by throat singing, beatboxing and growling, gives her music a primal power that reflects the struggle of both nature and man.
Raised in a small village in the Faroe Islands, Eivør was influenced by the island's raw nature and ancient singing traditions. She broke through as a teenager and has since released 11 albums, collaborated with international artists and composed music for films and games, including The Last Kingdom and God of War.
Her latest album “ENN” marks a new chapter and is a grand sonic journey where classical music, electronic beats and Faroese roots meet. Created in collaboration with poet Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs, the lyrics deal with the struggle of humanity, the power of nature and female strength.
