Welcome to try out Reading Together – a reading circle where everything happens when we meet. This reading circle is specifically aimed at male participants. The reason is that we men are underrepresented in this type of reading circle.
We have coffee, hand out a short story or poem and read the text aloud together. During the reading, we pause from time to time to talk about the text and the thoughts, feelings and reactions it evokes.
No prior knowledge is required – just curiosity! Reading Together is based on the established shared reading model, developed by the British The Reader Organisation (https://www.thereader.org.uk/), and which has now spread to several countries. Research shows that participants appreciate the shared experience and conversations around literature.
