Lund was founded at the end of the 900th century and in the Middle Ages became the ecclesiastical center of the Nordic region with an archbishop at the head. This heyday ended with the Reformation, but with the founding of the university in 1668, the city gained a new identity. The lecture is about people and events during the city's roughly thousand-year history.
The speaker is Göran Larsson, who is a historian and lives in Lund and has been active in archives and museums, including as city archivist in Malmö and director of Malmö Museums. Nowadays he is chairman of the Historical Museum in Lund.
This exciting lecture is arranged by Habo gård and financed by the Habo Foundation. The event is broadcast live by Digitala Träffpunkten. To take part in the lecture, go to www.lund.se/digitalatraffpunkten and follow the instructions.
