It's the same donkey, just with a new saddle

A comedy show by Anders "Ankan" Johansson

In 2022, Anders "Ankan" Johansson made a big success with his solo debut "Alla knehter Ankan". It was left behind for a year and a half, Borås Tidning described it as "the best stand-up show of the year" and the Barometer called Ankan "among the most popular we have". In autumn 2025, Ankan returns to the stage with a newly written comedy show. The new show has been given the slightly different title "It's the same donkey, only with a new saddle - A comedy show by and with Anders "Ankan" Johansson" and is a joke about how we never learn. The duck thought we agreed that it's good to tell the truth, help each other and be kind, but apparently not. The jokes and mistakes come back. On December 5, Ankan will come to Lund's Stadsteater with his new show!

With over 20 years in the comedy and media industry, Anders "Ankan" Johansson has become one of Sweden's most loved comedians, including as one half of the popular comedy duo Anders & Måns. In 2020, Ankan was named Male Comedian of the Year at the gala "The Swedish Comedy Award" and earlier this fall he won the Kristallen TV award for his slightly different travel program "Rostiga roadtrips", which he made for SVT together with Valle Westesson. During the autumn, we were also able to see him sailing "Over the Atlantic" on Kanal 5.

In "It's the same donkey, only with a new saddle - A comedy show by and with Anders "Ankan" Johansson" Ankan wants to take the audience on a new journey:
“It's the same donkey, only with a new saddle - is an Afghan proverb said of people who have won a higher position than they deserve. There's a lot that makes me happy, a lot that makes me wonder, and a lot that makes me angry. You kind of slowly get surprised. Didn't we agree that it's good to tell the truth, help each other and be kind? Apparently we never learn, the idiocy, the pranks and the mistakes come back. Who is rewarded and who is not? Old opinions, ancient mistakes, same guys, new suit. I want to joke about this. This will be my second solo performance. I am the same donkey - only with a new saddle. Hope you want to come.”

The show premieres at Falkenberg's Stadsteater on September 26, and then follows a tour across the country in cities such as Linköping, Stockholm, Malmö, and Värnamo.
