On December 4, 1676, two armies collided on the fields north of Lund.
When darkness fell, 9000 soldiers lay dead on the battlefield after what has become the bloodiest battle in the history of the North.
According to some historians, this was where Scania's fate was decided. Would Sweden retain control of the provinces Charles X had conquered 18 years earlier or would the Danes reclaim what had been part of the Danish Empire for almost 700 years?
Go on a bus tour to the Danish and Swedish military camps. Follow the march of the troops and the development of the battle. See the place where the only mass grave we found is located, where the Danish cavalry went through the ice and where the Swedes began a massacre of the enemy. We will also go through the background of how the war started, what life was like in the field between the battles and what was the big killer, how the troops fought each other and much more.
On the tour, we will go past Borgeby castle, where Skåne's Carolines will show the soldiers' equipment from that time.
