Dark Tranquillity to Mejeriet on October 14th
Ticket release Mon 26/5 at 10.00:XNUMX
Swedish metal icons Dark Tranquillity are going on tour this fall – The Character Gallery – where they pay tribute to two of their most iconic albums: The Gallery, which celebrates its 30th anniversary, and Character, which turns 20.
Dark Tranquillity has been a part of shaping the melodic death metal scene since its inception – not least through The Gallery (1995), an album that is still considered one of the genre's most defining. Ten years later, Character (2005) came along, a work that deepened the band's sound and position as one of the most respected acts in modern metal.
With roots in Gothenburg's legendary metal scene, Dark Tranquillity has been active since 1989 and is one of the bands that defined the “Gothenburg sound” that has gained global recognition. They have released twelve studio albums and toured the world, with everything from Iron Maiden to In Flames. With their combination of aggression, atmosphere and melody, the band has built a loyal fanbase that extends far beyond the borders of Sweden.
“After an amazing journey through 58 cities in Europe with Endtime Signals Tours, we are now setting out on a new and exciting course. It is time to return to our roots and celebrate our origins. 2025 marks the joint 50th anniversary of two milestones in our career – The Gallery (1995) and Character (2005). To mark this, we are embarking on a special tour where we pay tribute to these legendary albums. Prepare yourself for songs we have never played live before, along with classics that have not been on our setlist for many years. Join us in October as we delve into these unforgettable chapters of our history!” – Mikael Stanne
The concert is arranged by Live Nation & Mejeriet
