Since her debut EP “Halva vägen fri” in 2020, Daniela Rathana has emerged as one of Sweden’s most interesting and original voices. With her ability to combine strong melodies, emotional lyrics and an unwavering stage presence, she has repeatedly impressed both in the studio and on stage.
The debut album "Rathana Club" (2021) set a high standard and was awarded a Grammis for "Pop of the Year" in 2022. In the same year, she was also awarded the "Lyricist of the Year" award at the Music Publishers' Awards. In the summer of 2023, Daniela solidified her star status when she acted as the opening act for Håkan Hellström at Ullevi to record audiences in Scandinavia. Her characteristic sound and intense live performances have not only captured the hearts of fans but also been praised by critics, leading to a nomination for the "Golden Mic" at P3 Guld 2023.
Following the success of the club tour Rathana Club and the summer tour School of Rathana, Daniela embarked on a new tour in the fall of 2024 in preparation for the release of her long-awaited album “Where Strippers Go To Die”. The album, which was released in April 2025 and produced by Oskar Linnros, is an honest and introspective work in which she explores themes such as regret, self-reflection and personal development. It has received significant attention for its unique blend of electronic pop and emotional lyrics.
In the summer of 2025, Daniela has continued to impress as a live artist with intense and appreciated performances at major festivals such as Way Out West and Malmö Festival, where she solidified her position as one of Sweden's most dynamic and engaging live acts. This fall, she returns to the live scene with an extensive tour with stops in Sweden and Norway - and you can see her at Mejeriet on December 12!
