We are building on the audience success from previous Lund Contemporary festivals by once again inviting you to a grand choral concert in All Saints' Church! In collaboration with Körcentrum Syd, composition students from the Academy of Music in Malmö have had the opportunity to write for the area's well-known choirs under the banner "Choir Contemporary".
During the course of the work, the composition students have had a real choral bath in lectures, workshops and work with "their" choir and its conductor, and now it's time for the premiere of a total of nine newly composed works! Participating are Petri Sångare and St. Petri Youth Choir led by Karin Oldgren, the University of Music Chamber Choir led by Mats Paulson, the Korallerna led by Linda Alexandersson, Carolinae Röster and the VOS Vocal Ensemble led by Ulrika Emanuelsson and the Svanholm Singers led by Sofia Söderberg. In addition, this year's composition project "Den nya visan" with the women's choir Cantrices led by Lisa Borssén, composed by Daniel Hjort, is being premiered.
