He has been called one of the best, a fantastic comedian and so skilled that it is impossible not to love his stand-up. Now the audience favorite Carl Stanley celebrates ten years as a stand-up comedian with the solo performance “Excuse my Skånska”. It will be a stand-up show with humor from the heart, about, among other things, deer, children, jeans, marriage, a theft and becoming a real adult.
"Excuse My Skånska" premiered at Lund City Theatre on February 28, 2025, and now it is clear that the tour will be extended into 2026 with several extra performances and new locations.
What has it been like making the show?
-It has felt like I am on tour with the best show I have written so far, and it has been a great feeling. The audience's reactions during and after the performances have been stronger than before. I often remind myself that the audience has given me an evening and that it is important to manage it. So when I feel like I have succeeded, I am happy, says Carl.
What does it give you to be on stage night after night?
-Being on stage night after night gives me the opportunity to improve the performance and have a strong relationship with the material. This is the end of the process where what I have worked on will be performed, and I want to be as focused as I can and try to deliver every night. It is special to see people laughing all over the country and really feel like we are hanging out, even though we don't really know each other, says Carl.
The duration of the performance is approximately 90 minutes without intermission.
