Welcome to Brown Bag Lunches, the conversation series at Skissernas Museum where we delve into what is the core of the museum – the creative process! Together with exciting and inspiring guests from different backgrounds, we curiously try to understand what their creative processes look like. And in the meantime, you can enjoy a good lunch from restaurant and café På Skissernas.
Autumn's first interview guest is Magda Lundberg, comic creator and artist based in Malmö. Her series Birds runs every week in DN and Sydsvenskan. The series has also become books You are not here to have a good time (2021) as well Real deal (2023) Birds came to be during her education at Seriesskolan in Malmö (2019-2022). In small A7 blocks, she draws accurate and humorous one-liners, which deal with everyday life and everyday feelings. Magda Lundberg feels that the limited format gives her the freedom to focus on the point of the image rather than the visuals.
