Welcome to Brown Bag Lunches, the conversation series where we delve into what is the core of the museum – the creative process! Together with exciting and inspiring guests from different backgrounds, we curiously try to understand what their creative processes look like. During the conversation, you can enjoy a delicious lunch from restaurant and café På Skissernas.
Johan T Karlsson, born in 1976 in Hässleholm, is a musician, songwriter and producer, best known under the stage name Familjen. He had his big breakthrough in 2007 with the song Det snurrar i min skalle , which became one of the most acclaimed Swedish pop hits of the 2000st century. As Familjen, Karlsson has created electronic pop for almost two decades where danceable melodies meet personal, poetic and socially relevant lyrics. He has toured extensively around Sweden, participated in Så mycket bättre and reached new listeners with songs such as Malmö stad , which received wide distribution through the TV series Tunna blå linjen . In the spring of 2026 he released the album Terra Firma , where he continues to develop his distinctive expression. With his mix of euphoria, thoughtfulness and uncompromising honesty, Johan T Karlsson has established himself as one of Sweden's most unique voices in modern pop music.
