Brown Bag Lunches: Artist Gunilla Klingberg

Welcome to Brown Bag Lunches, the conversation series at Skissernas Museum where we delve into what is the core of the museum – the creative process! Together with exciting and inspiring guests from different backgrounds, we curiously try to understand what their creative processes look like. And in the meantime, you can enjoy a good lunch from restaurant and café På Skissernas.

The season's last Brown Bag Lunches are hosted by artist Gunilla Klingberg, whose large exhibition is currently on display at the museum. Here present two large-scale designs for urban environments in Stockholm: Whirlwind (2021) for the Sergel pavilion's facade at Sergel's square and The Red Thread for Nya Slussen's bus terminal in Katarinaberget, which will be inaugurated in 2025. But Klingberg has also created new works from materials that she has saved from the artistic process and adapted to the museum's exhibition halls. During this year's cultural night, her work was performed Spirit of the Woods on the sidewalks between Skissernas Museum and Botan. At Triangeln train station you will find her three-part work The patterns of everyday life from 2010.

Learn more about Gunilla Klingberg and her exhibition.

The conversation is led by author Paola Pellettieri.
