Welcome to lectures!
Right now, a project is underway that aims to publish the minutes of Lund's exchange, preserved from 1642 onwards. The court records are mostly occupied by disputes and conflicts, sometimes with a fatal outcome. In the spaces between, the protocols also capture the less dramatic everyday life of the Lunda residents. The lecture offers an exposé of individuals and events, everything from dirty words and outrageous behavior to tragedy with bare knives.
Lecturer Mattias Karlsson has a doctorate in historical archaeology at Lund University. He works as an archaeologist at Kulturen and is involved in a number of different projects. Among other things, research related to church roofs, sources for old Lund and Allhelgonaklostret in Lund.
