The Brothers Lionheart

A timeless tale of courage, hope and love.

Skorpan and his older brother Jonatan embark on an incredible adventure that extends beyond death. When the Lionheart brothers leave this world, they come to the land of Nangijala, where they experience grand adventures. Together, the brothers fight against the oppression of the evil Tengil and the dragon Katla, who in Crea's collection takes on a form you have never seen before.

A story about the struggle between good and evil, about fear and courage, and above all about hope. In a world where it's all too easy to feel like a little "shit", this story encourages you to dare to jump, and hope. It reminds you that no matter who you are, you can succeed if you believe in yourself and others.

Astrid Lindgren's legendary story turns 50 this year. To celebrate this, Riksteatern Crea in co-production with Norwegian Theater Manu will put on a performance of this timeless saga. Filled with themes as relevant today as when it was first written, this production promises to enchant audiences of all ages and inspire them to look beyond the ordinary and embrace the extraordinary.

The set is directed by Mindy Drapsa, known for her work in both theater and film. Mindy brings her unique vision to the stage and creates a world that is both magical and grounded in reality. The two Nordic brothers, Swedish Akad Polus and Norwegian Nikolai Wisny Schmidt embody the spirit of the story and give life to the brothers, Skorpan and Jonatan. With eight actors on stage, a new and exciting experience is promised that the audience will remember for a long time.

This tribute to Astrid Lindgren is a co-production between Riksteatern Crea and Teater Manu.

Played in Swedish sign language and with Swedish speech on stage.
