Brel's Crazy Carousel is an emotional, frenetic and humorous performance, where we get to know the Franco-Belgian artist Jaques Brel in his final confrontation with his life choices. He only lived to be 49 years old after an intense life. Perhaps he carried with him a vague feeling that life will be short, that it is only on loan.
The monologue performed by actor Helena Nizic is based on interviews with Brel and is interwoven with his songs, accompanied by a string quartet led by Filip Runesson.
