Bobbe Big Band turns 20!
Together with the Lund New Chamber Orchestra, this will be celebrated with an anniversary concert at the favorite venue Lund City Theatre on Saturday, October 18, in the way that has become our signature – a big party with extra everything!
For one evening only, we gather our best friends on stage and in the audience, under the musical direction of BBB founder Robin “Bobbe” Hellström. As usual, our fantastic vocal soloists Marie, Marielle, Carl-Johan and Pär front the show.
To top it all off, we have world-class guest artists:
Vincent Nilsson – legendary trombonist from the DR Big Band
Kjeld Lauritsen – incredibly swinging Hammond organist
Claus Sörensen – brilliant alto saxophonist and arranger
BBB's anniversary concert will be a musical treat with the best from two decades – swing, soul, Latin, languid ballads, shows and musicals. And then some surprises and special arrangements for this particular evening. A warm welcome!
The Lunda band Bobbe Big Band, led by Robin “Bobbe” Hellström, has given concerts for almost 20 years with exciting guest artists such as Rigmor Gustafsson, Nils Landgren, Cæcilie Norby, Janne Schaffer, Karin Hammar and Samuel Ljungblahd.
