Through the festival, we welcome residents and visitors to discover all that makes Storkriket such a fantastic area to visit, work and live in.
The global work of establishing and developing biosphere reserves has been going on for 50 years and today there are seven biosphere reserves in Sweden. If everything goes smoothly, the Storkriket biosphere reserve will be the country's eighth. One way to celebrate and draw attention to the work is to organize the Biosphere Festival. A truly unique festival that this year, 2024, will be organized for the fourth time.
For those interested in nature and culture, there are guided hikes, exhibitions and workshops. Families can participate in various try-on activities, farm visits and music events. For those with a thirst for knowledge, there are lectures on the various histories of places, on poisonous mushrooms and much more.
