The Banff Mountain Film Festival goes on tour in Sweden again and stops in Lund on October 2. Eight films on the theme "Mountain culture and adventure" will be shown during an inspiring and spectacular film evening starting at 18:30. The festival from Banff in Canada travels annually to around fifty countries on seven continents, where a selection of the year's competing festival films is shown.
Globally, the festival has 600 visitors per year, more than the Cannes Film Festival, Gothenburg Film Festival and Stockholm Film Festival combined. The film selection is versatile with a great variety of films and contains everything from documentaries to cartoons, from amateur to professional productions, with a focus on expeditions, sports, nature and culture. At Lund's City Theatre, the films are shown on a large screen, where the emphasis is on climbing, skiing, cycling, surfing, fishing, caving, environment and culture.
