Bach's Mass in B minor is one of his most extensive and impressive church musical works.
The composition brings together movements that Bach wrote during most of his life and was completed around 1748–1749. The work combines earlier church music with newly written parts and includes Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus and Agnus Dei, in which both choir, soloists and orchestra participate.
