Listening to the city: Book release and panel discussion at 17-18 pm
Listening to the city is an art project that was carried out in Klostergården in Lund during the period 2022–2025 by artist Maj Hasager and composer Ask Kæreby.
Residents and workers in Klostergården, as well as students from the music department at Lund's cultural school, participated in the project. The result was a curated audio walk with residents' stories and recorded interpretations of sounds from the area, a memorial sculpture, and an art film that is shown in the library's windows.
Publications Listening to the city will be released in conjunction with Art Night in Lund 2025.
The panel discussion will revolve around the project and how public art can emerge through shared, collective and co-creative processes.
