Follow Agroforestry Action Network (AFAN) in an evening where we explore how food, biodiversity and community can grow together in our local landscapes.
The event begins with a short introduction to AFAN and their forest garden project. Sliparebacken Forest Garden in Sankt Hans Backar. There, volunteers work to restore soil fertility, plant perennial edible plants, and create a shared space for learning and biodiversity.
This is followed by a participatory workshop where we explore different edible plants found in Sweden as well as simple agroforestry methods that are suitable in Skåne in the spring: what you can collect in nature, propagate and plant in your local landscape.
We conclude with a quiz and an open discussion about local food systems, regenerative food production and how more people in Lund can get involved in local food production.
Everyone is welcome!
Whether you are a passionate grower, student or just curious about what grows around us.
Come and learn more, meet others and discover the edible landscape around us!
