Welcome to the reopening of Costume fashion – folk clothing from Skåne, an exhibition filled with centuries-old traditions and exciting details.
Now we also show costume silver, which is a unique and important part of the Skåne costume. You will also see an example of how the tradition is managed today, in Fredy Samuel Lundh's Skåne version of his gender-inclusive Bäckadråkt.
Exhibition producer Anna Sanfridsson gives a brief introduction to the background of the exhibition and is then on site inside the exhibition to answer questions.
Included in the entrance fee, no pre-booking required. On Lilla Torg, in front of the entrance to Ystadhuset.
The performance "What Are You Hiding? A queer journey through folk culture" with Fredy Clue (artist name for Fredy Samuel Lundh) will be performed in connection with the opening. Limited seats, reservations required. More information and pre-purchase your place here.
