Petter Eiring, city antiquarian at Lund Municipality, talks together with architect Johan Sundberg about buildings in the Strong Street area.
Pilasters, columns and pediments – facades in the center.
Every era has left its mark on the building stock in Lund's city center. But around the largest shopping streets, classicist architecture dominates. We focus on how the buildings along these streets look today and compare them with how they looked when they happened. And we consider how the 2000st century can take its place in Lund's long architectural history and create new cultural environments.
This event is part of Lund City Strong Streets, an arrangement where we jointly lift the streets around Lilla Fiskaregatan for a week. and Klostergatan.
