Erik and Jay use juggling as a playful way to explore how people interact with objects and the environment. The show is often surprising and very easy to enjoy, as it is presented with a personal touch. Natural materials, such as paper, metal and glass are combined to create effective objects, for example the invention with wooden origami! These sculptures bend and fold with fluid movement, turning the manipulation into a form of abstract puppetry. Recommended from 6 years.
The show suggests a whole world of possibilities, hidden just below the surface of everyday life, waiting to be discovered by everyone!
Music and juggling have a strong connection as they are both based on rhythm. Apparat takes this a step further by also incorporating melody into the juggling. Electronic juggling balls are connected to ordinary objects through a complex and high-tech sensor system. When a ball is caught, a bicycle bell rings, a bottle clinks, a drum beats. A humble symphony is created from this collection of simple acoustic sounds.

Relaxed performance
Please note that the performance at 10:00 on Saturday 7 September is a so-called "relaxed performance". This means that the form of the performance is especially adapted for those of you who, due to a disability or for other reasons, find it difficult to attend a regular performance. Our ambition with Relaxed performance is to create an experience where every individual can feel comfortable, included and welcome. There is no right or wrong way to be an audience – everyone is welcome.
