About the program:
Alice Babs was the singer who, ever since her debut in Västervik, only ten years old, came to write music history: She was the first in Sweden to sing the new dangerous swing music, get a gold record, and end up on the Billboard list. Alice Bab's career spanned from the 1930s to the 2000s with popularity throughout Europe and the United States.

In this anniversary performance, Titti & Ehrling dive even deeper into the rich musical treasure that Alice Babs left behind and share shared memories and experiences together with Titti's mother from stage shows, TV and recording studios. Here we get to hear Alice's own favorite songs and even more stories from collaborations with world-famous musicians and artists such as Duke Ellington, Ulrik & Svend i Swe-Danes, Charlie, Povel and many, many more.

About Titti Sjöblom:

TITTI SJÖBLOM, started singing already at the age of two together with her mother, Alice Babs and made records, radio and TV throughout her childhood. First stage performance was at Johanneshov in Stockholm in 1964, where she sang Droppen Dripp, in the same gala as Sammy Davies Jr and Ingrid Bergman. The second time she was on stage was at Scandinavium in Gothenburg as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. The first pub shows and folk park tours were with Charlie Norman and Lennie Norman in the mid-70s.

Since then, Titti has done pub shows at Berns in Stockholm, Kronprinsen in Malmö and Trädgår'n in Gothenburg. The Tivoli revue in Copenhagen and Vår Lilla Stad, a commemorative revue of Östersund. Titti has participated in TV productions such as Hylands Hörna, Melodifestivalen, Gomorron Sverige, Notknäckarna, Allsång på Skansen and Så Ska det låt a number of times and made her own children's programs on TV.

Titti's musicality and versatility have meant that over the years she has appeared with everything from children's songs, to jazz, gospel, songs and pop together with many of our foremost musicians such as Bengt Hallberg, Per-Erik Hallin, Kjell Öhman, Arne Domnérus, Rune Gustafsson , Lars Erstrand and Janne Schaffer.

Together with the guitarist and singer Ehrling Eliasson, she now tours extensively in Sweden and abroad, often in collaboration with choirs, big bands, wind and string orchestras, but mostly it is two voices and a guitar that have sounded in our churches, sports halls and concert halls or who entertains at company parties, large and small.

About Ehrling Eliasson:
EHRLING ELIASSON is a true Norrlander, more specifically from Ångermanland in the heart of the High Coast. He is something of a multi-talented artist and multi-tasker, but since the mid-80s he earns a stay as a full-time musician, composer and singer. For ten years he toured as a bassist with the accordion player and legend Hans-Erik Nääs.

Ehrling is an absolutely brilliant guitarist, who plays everything from "oldies" to pop and rock. His specialty is lyrical songs and ballads. Sometimes he performs completely alone as host, toastmaster or as an entertainer who alternates his own and other people's songs with all kinds of pranks and stories.

Guitarist and song writer Ehrling Eliasson receives the JR Sundström prize in 2009 from the Janne Vängman Society.

He is an accompanist of the highest class, which many singers and instrumentalists have enjoyed, including Helen Sjöholm and Alice Babs, with whom he collaborated for many years.

Together with Titti Sjöblom, Ehrling now tours extensively in Sweden and abroad, often in collaboration with choirs, big bands, wind and string orchestras, but mostly it is two voices and a guitar that have sounded in our churches, sports halls and concert halls, or that entertain at company parties, large and small.
